Ashburn sits in eastern Loudoun County, about 30 miles northwest of Washington, D.C., and just north of Washington Dulles International Airport. Once a crossroads of dairy farms, it has grown into one of Northern Virginia's most popular places to put down roots, built around master-planned communities like Ashburn Farm, Ashburn Village, Brambleton, and Broadlands. Streets are lined with newer single-family homes and townhomes, and many neighborhoods come with their own pools, lakes, clubhouses, and walking paths. It feels suburban in the best sense, with room to breathe and everything you need a short drive away.

Daily life here revolves around parks, ballfields, and walkable town centers such as One Loudoun, where residents meet for dinner, concerts, and weekend markets. The Washington and Old Dominion Trail cuts straight through town, and Beaverdam Reservoir offers paddling and quiet shoreline hikes. Since the Silver Line reached Ashburn in 2022, commuters can ride Metro directly into Tysons, Arlington, and downtown D.C. Add a deep bench of breweries and the wineries of western Loudoun just down the road, and weekends rarely feel short on options.
